The service for simulating translation of individual genes in three model organisms, that:
- estimates mean initiation and elongation time in SI units, - approximates the number of proteins produced from a transcript, - simulates ribosome propagation on a transcript and allows modifying its sequence on the fly, - enables uploading any coding sequence and simulating its translation in one of the three host organisms, - provides easy access to all information via online GUI or flat files download.
The simulation is based on several experimental data sets described in detail here , and a computational model of translation described here.
